Coffee is a product that oxidizes quickly upon contact with oxygen. Once ground, the surface area in contact with air is multiplied by approximately 10,000 compared to a whole bean.
Ideally, grind the beans with a burr coffee grinder, or a manual or electric grinder, just before consumption to best preserve their aromas (see our article to choose your grinder).
